Immigration is fine as long as it is done legally. Don't come to this country illegally, not learn our culture, language and way of life and then demand everything be handed to you. And on top of that try and change everything to accomidate your culture! These immigrants are destroying the foundation of this country. If they want to be an American then they need to learn about what Millions of people fought for and why,and they need to learn the language definitley. Yeah they might pick our vegetables and fruits, but if they weren't an American would be, and they'd be paying taxes. The illegals that are here aren't contributing, they aren't paying taxes,their taking jobs from Americans,aren't insuring their vehicles and causing rates to sky rocket, they don't adjust to being here by speaking our language, and they are getting all kinds of assistance that should be for real Americans. They broke the laws and continue breaking them. In my eyes they had their chance at being here and they blew it!

Over the years I have watched this country get worse and I blame it on the illegals. They demand as much money, if not more than our legal Americans. They can't speak the language(and don't try), don't abide by the rules(insurance and laws)take jobs from REAL Americans, and they are drying up the welfare and assistance. Why should they be given everything when they continue to break laws and disrespect Americans in this way. I would never dream of entering any country without learning the way of life and much more importantly THE LANGUAGE!! Everything now has to be written in English and Spanish  to accomidate them. Spanish billboards are popping up everywhere, well I can't read them and I shouldn't have to learn Spanish to do so. Well why not have asian, german and french up as well. There are other immigrants here that speak other languages. Why don't we cater to them the way the hispanics expect to be catered too?IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS MUST ADAPT!! I am tired of this nation worrying about whether or not we are offending some individual or their culture here in the USA.  They offend ours by trying to take it over and change everything to suit themselves.The culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. We speak ENGLISH, not spanish,arabic,chinese, russian etc. and "in god we trust" is our motto. If any immigrant wishes to live here then they need to work at it and be here legally.If they don't like our way of life and beliefs then they should GO HOME!!!

I disagree. My husband is from Canada and has paid thousands, spent many hours at the immigration offices etc. to be here. After 3 years he finally got a permanant resident card. He still has to wait 5 years to get citizenship and all the while he has been paying U.S taxes. We know several hard working people from England that have been here for years on work visa's and keep getting denied residency and citizenship for no good reason. How is it right that we let the law breakers float over and get everything handed to them while the honest people are working hard to be here legally? Most of them don't even have the respect to learn the language and embrace our culture. Americans aren't afraid of change we are afraid of losing our country and everything it was founded on. No prayer in school, spanish as the primary language? Gimme a break! Many of our ancestors migrated here as well but, they learned the language and worked hard to get here. We have no problem with them being here but they should do it like everyone else...legally. Most of the illegal immigrants around here are requested $10.00 and more an hour now, and they don't pay taxes. That's not cheap labor, that's more than minimum wage. They are hurting the economy.  

How many people out there remember that we have an american heritage? I still have a faint memory of "Baseball,hotdogs,apple pie,and Cherverolet" Seems that the immagrants want the United States of America to change to the new states of Mexico.I don't mind people from other countries coming to the USA.But when they're braking or laws getting into the US,and breaking our laws while in the US,what part of thier illegal actions are we being asked to forgive ? There are legal ways of becoming a US citizen.Why are they not following them first,yet demanding them now. And further evaluation of why they continue to illegally come into our country starts with our own fruit and vegetable farmers so eagerly willing to pay the illegal immigrants to work for them.Makes one wonder how the farmers can show wages paid to the illegals on their business records.Hmmmmmmm are we also missing tax dollars both state and federal from this activity? I don't have any answers to solve this problem but it sure seems it's all more illegal than good business.
