I don't agree that they get to stay, but I agree they should have to pay a fine,get sent home and own up to breaking the law. I would have made it a bigger fine though. The illegals have no idea how much they have cost this country(stealing jobs from Americans, living tax free,bleeding the assistance dry). They should feel lucky that we didn't get what most Americans want and have them rounded up and tossed out! Instead they are going to grip and groan about us splitting up their families. Well guess what we didn't force them to illegally cross the border, and if someone(legal) who had a family broke the law here and got sent to jail and seperated from them is that also our problem.? They aren't any different, all that should have been taken into consideration before hand. If it bothers them that much then they need to go home and take their families with them.

If this works atleast they have some degree of punishment by having to pay a fine and go back home and apply. I still think they should ALL be sent back because they are destroying our country and taking job from Americans. We arn't here to make their lives in Mexico better, they need to take up their problems with their own country and stop blaming us for their rotten way of life there. If they don't want to be seperated from their families because of this new bill well they should of thought of that before breaking the law and coming here illegally. All I have to say to them is "GET OVER IT! you broke our laws and lived tax free. Pay the fine, go home and start the right way"

I think it is great! They should have to pay a fine to make up for at least some of the taxes they never paid and aggravation they caused the Americans. They should have to go back to their country and do what should have been done in the first place, file and come legally. We can always use another person with a degree so it's good they give special priorities to those with degrees. That atleast is a benifit to us. And as far as them no thinking it is fair, well they shouldn't be looking to the US to give them a better life in their country. If they have such a problem supporting themselves in their country then they need to spend more time getting answers and pushing change from THEIR government, not ours. And the fact that they are going to be seperated from family that is here in the US, well there are lots of immigrants from other countries like England and Canada that have the same issues but they didn't break laws to fix it. They get their visas or green cards and send for their families legally. The illegals should have thought about this before they crossed over illegally. I'm happy with the decision I just hope it works.
